All 57 languages are available in principle. Depending on the plan, up to 7 language channels can be actively translated at the same time. The host has two options: the target languages can be fixed in advance for an event, or the choice stays open and listeners pick for themselves. In open mode it is first come, first served: once all language channels are taken by listeners, new listeners can only choose from the languages already active.
What is a language channel?
A language channel is one active live translation into a target language that is currently running. The limit applies per plan, even when several rooms run in parallel. So you can, for example, translate into English in one room, French in a second and Arabic in a third.

No. Listeners just open a link in the browser or scan the QR code, no install, app store or account required.
Any device with a modern web browser: smartphones, tablets, laptops. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge are supported, on iOS and Android.
Yes. Listeners open the translation in the browser and need an internet connection for it, via Wi-Fi or mobile data. Data use is low, since only audio and text are transmitted.

Typically a few seconds. The exact delay depends heavily on speaking pace, sentence length and the internet connection.
A good microphone helps a lot. For city tours we recommend a lavalier microphone on the smartphone. For listeners we recommend headphones.
Live Interpreter is an AI-powered solution. For the highest accuracy on especially critical content, we still recommend professional interpreters.
Yes. The AI handles natural speech and doesn't rely on read-out scripts. Quotes and set phrases are also rendered reliably in the target language.
Yes. Per room you can store terminology, proper names and context for your event. The translation picks these up and renders them consistently and correctly.
Yes. Alongside the live audio, the translation is also shown as text. Your listeners can listen, read along or both, which helps especially in noisy environments.
The translation pauses for the duration of the outage. As soon as the connection is back, it continues seamlessly. For the host computer we therefore recommend a wired LAN connection rather than Wi-Fi.
No. Both the monthly and hourly plans include unlimited listeners; you don't pay per person. The translation is produced once per language and everyone can listen in.
You are billed for the active runtime of the translation, to the minute. While the translation is running it is billed, including short speaking pauses. You can pause and resume it at any time with one big button, and paused translations use no minutes.
Yes. New users can try Live Interpreter free for 60 minutes, with no credit card and no commitment. So you can try live translation at your own pace before choosing a plan.
Yes, the subscription can be cancelled monthly. In the app go to "Account" and then, under subscriptions, to "Manage subscription" (shown once a subscription is active). You can cancel there at any time, and the subscription then ends automatically at the end of the month.
Yes. Listeners join anonymously, no account required. Servers are located in Germany. Audio data is not stored permanently.
